Did you think I was done with felt balls and color DIYs?!

My last one was geared towards older kids, and this one is perfect for the real little ones. I was able to complete this one with things that I had on hand, and if you don’t have a million pieces of felt in your stash...you’re much more Marie Kondo than I am.

But seriously, this one is easy and if anything, another excuse to buy or put to use those Hello Maypole felt balls!

These 6 count muffin tins were from the Dollar Store, felt was originally from Hobby Lobby & felt balls from my Hello Maypole hoarding bin,  I just pulled out which colors I wanted to use and matched them to my felt.  

You could stick to the basic ROYGBIV rainbow, but I added in a few “in between” colors, as well as black and white.  You can really do whatever you want or have on hand to work with.

Start by creating a pattern, trace the bottom of the tin and cut it out on paper.  Then using that pattern, cut out all your felt.

Here you have the option to glue your felt into the bottom of the tin, or if you’re using your actual baking tins, just pop them in the bottom and let your little one go for it!

Not gluing them in the bottom would also give you the option to change out the colors of your felt or mix them around out of color order to keep their brains firing!

Again, another easy way to incorporate learning and your craft stash.  Fun for EVERYONE!

Test Tube Slime with Printable

All the fun (for the kids) and hardly any work! Use them for favors, in place of trick or treat candy, 

or as part of your BOO basket for your friends!

I grabbed these fun test tubes from the Target "dollar" section, and the slime is from over in their actual Halloween section.  I needed about 1 and a half of the slime to fill up these tubes.

Once you wiggle your slime into your tubes, make sure those corks are on nice and tight.

Either print the labels on sticker sheet or use a little bit of glue to spread a thin layer on the back and stick onto those tubes.  Be sure to get all those bubbles out.

If you want to add a little something to the tubes, try washi tape on the top or a little bakers twine wrapped around the cork. If you're using them as favors, it'd be the perfect way to attach a tag.

Save the printable below and get ready to slime!

BOO Felt Hanging Banner

A Halloween felt banner? Could 3 words go together more perfectly?! It's easier than you think, and makes a great addition inside, or hung in place of a wreath on your front door.  And since it's officially Fall, it's perfectly acceptable for me to start sharing Halloween posts now, enjoy!

 Gather your supplies:

A dowel, felt in your colors choice, adhesive felt in a contrasting color, twine, & 

optional 2 felt balls for added cuteness. 

 To use the letters I did, make sure you're cutting your banner edge landscape so it's wide enough.

 After you've cut your dowel to the right size, tie your bakers twine on either side.  This is also the time to tie on those felt balls if you're using them

 Carefully glue a straight line on your felt and press your dowel onto it. Set it aside and start working on your letters! I like doing the banner first, so I know exactly where I need my letters.

 Similar to the Felt Pennants tutorial, trace your letters onto the BACK (paper side) of your 

adhesive felt.  Make sure that B is backwards!

 Once you've decided on your placement, carefully remove the paper backing and apply your letters.

 You did it! So easy, the hardest part may be deciding where to hang it now!

And of course, you could always flip the color scheme & make the banner white and the letters black, or throw in some color! Have a spooktacular time with it! No...ew...I actually hate that saying.  Despise it. It's makes me twitch for some reason.  Just go make a BOO banner, k?

FALL Pallet Sign

 I'm in that stage of being sad Summer is ending, but also being 99% ready for Fall to bring it's cooler temperatures. So in an effort to welcome it in, I make a fresh new sign! In case you're not aware, Walmart (at least mine) has some pretty legit craft supplies that are an awesome price. This 

is not at all spsonsored, I just thought you should know that that is where I got this pallet board for under $5. Oh you betcha! Grab some paint while you're there to & let's get started.

You'll need paint in a medium grey, white & either black or a darker grey. I used black and my medium grey mixed to get what I was looking for.

 I wanted a little bit of dimension when I sanded the finished product, so I started with a coat of the medium grey.  Just one coat will suffice for the purpose.

 Then two-coat the white paint after the grey has dried completely. Then let that dry completely.

 I used my Cricut to cut out my letters, but you could use stencils or free hand or vinyl like me.

 This is where that darker grey comes in.  I wanted something dark, but not exactly black.  So I mixed the grey I used earlier with a bit of black to get the color I wanted.

 Let it dry, peel off your stencil & touch anything up that you need to.  For a final touch, use fine grit sand paper to rough it up a bit and show some of that grey & wood underneath.

It's just the thing my pumpkins needed to finish off a little fall decor.  I was struggling with what to add, since I realized a lot of my decorations that aren't Halloween are technically "Thanksgiving", and I'm not welcoming in Fall THAT quickly!
