Arizona bloggers are pretty awesome.

Last week I got to go and paint tea towels at Anthropologie with Lexy of Proper blog. Doesn't that whole sentence just sound like perfection?! Don't worry....it totally was. It was so small & intimate, beautifully styled and Lexy is a dream & so friendly!

I'm so glad Anthro did this for Mother's day and Lexy made it so awesome! I'm so lucky to live in a state full of awesomely talented bloggers.

how blogging has changed my life.

I have a family blog as well as this craft blog- but posting here on Tied Ribbon has always be hot & cold. But no matter what, I always try to flex my creative muscle for it.  I love to craft, but so often I make something without documenting it, thinking, "Oh no one will care about this- I'm sure other people have thought of this."  

But I've changed my thinking to be less self-conscious...so what if someone else has thought of it- maybe not everyone has and at least one person may get some inspiration out of it.

I just go for it & put my thoughts and ideas out there for better or worse.  And in the end, it makes me feel good that I've done that, even if Martha Stewart doesn't post a comment. ;)

So in a sentence, blogging has changed my life by giving more self-esteem in my creativity.

Favorite Things Wednesday

I was saving this post for Friday, but our sweet little boy has been cutting 4 teeth over the past week!

As a result, I haven't been able to do much crafting....but that brings me to my first favorite thing:

Hyland's Baby Teething Tablets

My son was so fussy and restless that I was desperate to try anything.  I have taken homeopathic medicine before, so I thought I'd give it a shot.  It isn't so much a pain reliever, as an "everything else that accompanies teething" reliever.  Life savers...for me & my baby!

I had gotten these at my baby shower and gave them a try last week...rave reviews!

Obviously, Pinterest.  I am currently using it to get amazing recipes, and plan for my son's 1st birthday party this summer!

e.l.f. makeup

Have you tried the e.l.f makeup line at Target?  I'm not a fan of their makeup, but I love their brushes.  

I used to use BareMinerals brushes, but after a while I noticed they would start scratching my face, even after cleanings.  My favorite part is that they are so affordable, but high quality.

Please don't judge me. I know children really shouldn't watch t.v., but sometimes this show is the only thing that allows me to leave the room to pee without my son screaming bloody murder!

And my current favorite blog.  My favorite thing?  I have linked up to her Linky party for the past 3 weeks, and she always leaves wonderfully encouraging comments on my posts that I linked.  Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference!
