Today I don't exactly have a project...but I just wanted to talk about something that bothers me everytime I get on Pinterest.
Don't get me wrong...I LOVE it. It's an amazing resource......when people use it correctly.
If you use Pinterest, here are a few tips on how to use it beneficially:
1. Check the pin before you re-pin.
So many times I see a pin I really like- and when I click through- it's just linked to the whole blog, rather than the post.
2. Edit the caption.
Granted, this is not always necessary- but goes hand-in-hand with number 1. Don't pin or re-pin something you like on etsy with the caption, "so cute DIY" or "flower tutorial". Try not to "false advertise".
3. Spam Pins.
After searching for a few specific recipes recently, I discovered that there are a ridiculous amount of "spam pins". Pins that have a picture of something, ie; brownies, but are linked to some ridiculous site asking you to sign up for something or another. It's absurd, annoying and a bit frustrating when people continue to repin them.
Everything goes back to Pinning with Care. Check it before you Pin it.
For everyone's sake.
