Spring Nail Polishes

Here's my line-up for my current spring polish choices...
1- Cemented // Sally Hansen
2- Hazard // Sinful Colors
3- Turquoise & Caicos // Essie
4- Lacey Lilac // Sally Hansen
5- Hot Pink // Love & Beauty (forever 21)

The weather here in Arizona has been kind of bi-polar and has gone from cold to burning hot to mild to perfect weather to cold and windy. But when it's nice- I am all about opening to windows and spending lots of time out side before it becomes the temperature of the sun!  So get some fun colors on those nails!

Carrot Patch Cupcakes

These cupcakes are as easy as ONE, TWO, THREE!....FOUR.
Start with a think layer of frosting, roll sides in chocolate jimmies, swirl some edible grass on & then pop on a cute chocolate carrot! See, easy & they look so adorable grouped together!

Modern Pastel Art

This art piece is a super simple DIY that if even I can do it- YOU can do it!  I created mine with pastels, according to the #CreativeBuzz theme for this month.

Supplies: Canvas
Paintbrush
Colors of your choice & a neutral shade

Start by randomly dotting your canvas with your paint in small little globs.
(You can always add more, but taking away is harder!)

Starting with your neutral color, spread into your canvas up & down.

Then, go color by color & do the same.
To add to the blending of colors I didn't rinse out my brush in between colors!

Blend blend blend! Once everything is spread, step back and see what color you want more of, layer color on colors, or let dry and come back to add more dimension.

That's it! Really, you can't mess this up because it's kind of supposed to be messy. Isn't that great! So go create a fun spring piece or something you can display in your home all year long!

This project was part of the #CreativeBuzz theme "Pastels" this month. I grouped with some amazing other bloggers who have created some awesome projects with this theme- check them all out & give them so love!

Spring Tree

I was in my local dollar store the other day and as I was about to leave, I saw a cute little tree begging to be re-done. (I have seen a similar one at Target for 2.50 as well) So I grabbed it and some little white flowers that were 2/$1.
And yes, I did take these photos in my bedroom- since I have a nasty loud cough & wake my son up if I'm anywhere else in our home!
So take your little tree and spread those branches out, then pull off your flowers.

I put one flower on, then put some hot glue on the branch, then put the other flower right on top.

Keep putting those on until it's as full or bare as you want it.

And to finish it off I grabbed some moss I had on hand (also from the dollar store), and hot glued that on!

I think it is super cute & only cost me $1.50! Score!

P.S. Stay tuned to see how I used it in my Easter decor!

Around Here Lately...

We've been quite busy around here...

This little one started crawling.

& we switched him to bottles due to his new cute chompers.

We visited family.

We went to the zoo.

We're getting ready for Spring.

But I am currently sick & have been for the past week. So I am resting, cuddling my favorite boys & brainstorming some awesome Easter/Spring crafts.

Hope to be back soon!  Enjoy your weekend!
