Summer Printable Puns

On Instagram I shared a few cute puns from end of the year gifts and camp hand-outs. These mini pinatas were actually from the .99 cent store!  I was as surprised as you are! I also grabbed some original horse pinatas, cactus & unicorns...because you'll never know when you'll need a mini pinata, right?! 

So I grabbed these and filled them with candy for my son's teachers and my co-workers and they were a huge hit!  I whipped up cute tags and tied them through the precut holes, and then just used some washi tape to hold the tag in place to cover the hole I stuffed the candy in.

The other one I shared was from a hand-out I took up to girl's camp with me for the Young Women in my church right after school let out.  I grabbed an image from the lds.org blog, printed it as 12 to a page so they were nice & small.  Then I circle punched, hole punched, and tied with twine to glow sticks! I'm just a sucker for a good pun printable, so I thought I'd share these ones!

End of the Year Orange Treats

When I saw Eighteen25's "orange you glad it's summer" pun, I couldn't get it out of my head and knew I had to create my own version for some fun end-of-the-year treats.  Last year's treats were equally simple, but still delicious.  

 This time around, I took orange slices and dipped some in melted chocolate and sprinkled with just that tiniest amount of sea salt.  They taste JUST like those chocolate oranges you get around Christmastime.  Addicting as well.  I spray painted the tops green to mimic the orange on the tag stick on a simple tag to tie in the pun and boom!  Little effort, and big impact. 

Be sure you don't forget those bus drivers & aides, they deserve to be rewarding for dealing with your children all year, too!

The Garlands of Summer

In case you ever wondered what Summer would look like in garland form...this is it.  Watermelons, pineapples and rainbow bunting- that's what summer dreams are made of. 

Make 'em, stack 'em and enjoy your summer goodness.

The watermelons are made from 2 different sized circles, cut in half with seeds drawn right on.

The pineapples are cut using shape printed off from google and sized down to wallet-size.

The only thing that's missing is the smell of a bonfire at the beach....

Anyone who knows me, knows I love a good party & I love some Dr Pepper®! School is starting in a few weeks, but this hot Arizona heat definitely reminds us that summer still isn't technically over.  So I decided to host a party to celebrate that there's still summertime left to be enjoyed! You can "Share the Funshine" too, by entering to win a Walmart e-giftcard here! After I planned my party, I stopped by Walmart and grabbing everything I needed for a delicious and fun party.

I grabbed 2 giant bags M&M's® Peanut, & M&M's® Plain some Skittles®,  Starburst® Minis Unwrapped, Dr Pepper®, Dr Pepper® Cherry, mini unwrapped SNICKERS®, some SNICKERS® ice cream bars, and of course Pedigree Dentastix® so even the pup can join in on the summer fun!

Then I sent out some fun invitation with a treat attached to make the party even more enticing! 

To make your own, take a small plastic baggie, pour in your treat, tie with twine, attach to your invitation with tape and you're done! Time to party!

My party had 2 elements, a Make Your Own Popcorn Mix and an Ice Cream Bar/Float station.

There was plenty of Dr Pepper®  and Dr Pepper® Cherry for floats, and a choice of ice cream bars in a bucket of ice.

The popcorn mix had butter, kettle corn and caramel corn popcorn guest could put in bags and then choose their own add-ins. There were M&M's® Peanut, & M&M's® Plain, Starburst® Minis Unwrapped, SNICKERS® Minis Unwrapped, chocolate mint candies, cinnamon gummies, & mini chocolate chip cookies.

Everyone loved being able to personalize their popcorn mix & ice cream floats!  The bags made it easy for guests to take some popcorn & treats home with them. I also had little containers filled with Skittles® so the fun could keep going and going, just like summer!

DIY Donut Float

I found this plain donut float at the Dollar Tree the other day and obviously I had to take it to the next level and add sprinkles...I just free-handed the oblong shapes with multi-surface paint. I'm obsessed.

Summer Printable.

Summer is my favorite time of the year! It's full of sun & fun and of course my birthday! 

Now that I live in Arizona- I find myself wishing I was on the beach all through the absurdly hot summers.  To to bring a little California goodness to my summer, I created a fun summer printable to share with all of you!
